I was assigned the responsibility of developing a project that correlated with the subject matter of my dissertation. The dissertation question posed was: “To what extent do graphic designers take into account the requirements of individuals with color blindness during their design processes, and what strategies can be implemented to ensure the creation of more accessible visual content?” Following a conversation with a graphic designer who discovered their color blindness post-graduation from a graphic design program, I was motivated to initiate a project focused on educating individuals about color blindness. Additionally, the project aimed to advocate for routine color blindness testing, recognizing the absence of such testing as standard practice within the United Kingdom.
